Balamuri is a picturesque waterfall on the river Cauvery. A nature lover's paradise, this picnic spot is 20 km from the city of Mysore. River Cauvery flowing down from the Krishnarajasagar reservoir, takes a graceful deviation at Balamuri, flowing towards the ancient town of Srirangapatna. This area lies in the midst of lush green paddy and sugarcane fields. There is an ancient Ganesh temple in the vicinity of the falls.
